Ready to spend a night under the stars? Join us for a overnight camping experience at Elk Island National Park, where you will learn everything you need to know to plan your own camping adventure.
Parks Canada will provide an experience designed to teach anyone the fundamentals of camping in the great outdoors. You’ll spend Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning taking part in hands-on workshops such as: how-to pitch a tent, how-to build a campfire, how-to use a camp stove and much more! Tent, sleeping pads, camp stoves, propane, & firewood will be provided to all participants.
Camping 101 workshop:
There will be a virtual orientation on Thursday, June 11 (6pm-7:30pm). This is optional to attend, a recording will be sent to all participants. We will go over what to expect during the camping trip, as well as answer any questions. A link to the meeting will be emailed to those who register.
Transportation: Transportation will be provided, to and from the event. Pick up and drop off will be at NAIT in the E parking lot, near the gymnasium. All participants must meet us in front of the Gymnasium on Saturday, June 13 at 12pm. Click HERE to access the location of the E parking lot and Gymnasium. We will be checking out from the event at 11am on Sunday, June 14 & arriving back at NAIT roughly around 12pm.
